• Expense Data: Expense descriptions, amounts, categories, and dates that you enter into the app.
• Family Information: Family group name and membership details.
• Device Information: Basic device information for app functionality and crash reporting.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the FamilyLedger service
• Allow you to track and share expenses with your family group
• Authenticate your account and ensure security
• Send important service notifications (e.g., password reset emails)
• Improve our app and fix issues

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

Your expense data is shared only with members of your family group within the app. We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

• When required by law or legal process
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
• With service providers who assist in operating our app (e.g., Supabase for data hosting, Expo for app delivery)

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the app
• Update your profile information at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data through the app's Settings screen
• Export your data by contacting us

6. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Upon deletion, all your personal information, expense records, and family memberships will be permanently removed from our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

FamilyLedger is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
